A new collection of warm and intimate acoustic songs. Tone and the Spartans is a recording and performing collective. Recorded over the course of 2006-2008 and recorded on Tone’s laptop in London, Edinburgh and Barcelona, to say that the making of this album was painstaking would be an understatement. Tone’s trademark relaxed vocal stylings and finger picking guitar playing are all over this album and it also features the violinist (Ed) from ‘I hear Echoes’ on selected tracks and production from Mr Chuckles of the Correspondents on the album’s closer, the dark and ominous ‘Lab Rats’.
